Of course they did. In the US only 196k of these consoles were sold in November. That's tiny in a country that size. It would have been fewer here. There is no stock whatsoever of these anywhere. They can't keep up.

As much as I love the old school games pal, £120 was too much to hold onto it. Most of the games I can play on my 3DS anyway.

If you can, just wait for the new year - more stock will become available, the hype will disperse, and prices will become more reasonable.

Wait till after Christmas, there's a lot of profiting going on at the moment which I refuse to fuel, pushing prices up to stupid levels.

Oh wait a minute that's what you did, "awkward silence" :|

Just wait until the new year. Nintendo do this will all of their new products. They have successfully created hype and consumer demand.

If you are gagging to play those retro games there is a multitude of other ways to do so on often superior hardware.

GPD XD
JXD S7800
RDP Portable
Blaze Tab
Raspberry Pi (with RetroPie installed)
SupaBoy (for SNES)
Any Android TV box
PC / Laptop / Tablet emulation with a wireless / wired controller.

Even your mobile phone possesses the ability to play all of the games on the Nintendo Classic Mini (and it can also play all of the other NES games not on the Classic, as well as any other retro game).

Most of the above options also come with HDMI output to enable you to hook up said device to TV.

The list goes on and on.

A search engine is your friend here folks.

As per above, assuming this is a gift, you could buy the bits and give somebody a nice little project...

People who say they haven't been able to find these for 2 month's - I have no sympathy. Where have you been looking?! Yes they are in short supply now but they have been available previously. I've had 5 since its release and sold the lot.

Wow! I've looked everywhere (argos, tesco, amazon, asda, even on stock alerts haven't had one email saying they are back in stock).
Why would you keep buying up all the stock? Ill-gotten money wont bring you happiness haha.

Please feel free to post a link so i can get one for £49.99.

No thanks. I'd rather buy them myself and make £100 each on them. You are capable of doing the same. They were in stock on the Nintendo site 2 days ago. How hard have you been looking?!

Okay Mr Grinch if you say so. You should refund all them people you have ripped off.

It's business. They were happy to pay it. And they understood that someone has gone out of their way to get them, and not expected everything to be given to them on a plate :D

The economic principles of "Supply and Demand" apply here... Havoc73 shouldn't be blamed for profiteering from Nintendo's awful business logistic practices. In any case, there have been plenty of opportunities for consumers to get a unit in the past.

Admittedly, only for around 5 mins.

Just saying...

Not everyone has the sort of time on their hands you do. Some people lead busy lives. I don't think your attitude to this is very admirable, much as you have the right to do whatever you like with your purchases.
