What specs are you looking for? / What will you be using it for?

Currys and PC World are part of the same "group" so often a deal in one is available in the other.

But to be honest they dont often have deals. They may SAY they are deals but they often are not.

You may be best looking at the supermarkets like Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda etc.

They often have decent deals, thought they do tend to come and go quite quickly.

Tbh ...the specs - not knowing that much would be a Intel or AMD dual! Memory at least 1 GB
HDD at least 80 GB! Display 15.4" DVD RW

+1. But if it is from an insurance claim and you HAVE to have one from Currys group only, have a look at the following:

TOSHIBA Satellite T110-107 Refurbished Laptop - &srcid=369&xtor=AL-1"]£349.99.
TOSHIBA Satellite L450D-13X - £349.99.
COMPAQ Presario CQ61-415sa - £349.00.

Not much choice within your budget. Personally I prefer intel processor over AMD, so the refurbished one looks good to me but I am not sure about the quality of refurbished products from Currys.

THANKS for looking yes have looked and we came up with the TOSHIBA Satellite L450D-13X and
COMPAQ Presario CQ61-415sa as you say not much about for that price!
But as you think The intel processor would be better we could go with the refurbished one! DOES the processor make a lot of difference then?
Again thanks for your help!

The processor DOES make a lot of difference. Intel is my personal preference and I am sure a lot of people here wouldn't agree with me on this. Not saying in any way that AMD is bad. If Currys refurbished laptops have good reviews I would go for the refurbished one as it also comes with a year's warranty.

AMD Vs Intel........
