My grandads funeral is in 2weeks :-(. Trying to have a theme for all the children, grandchildren - Black Shirt, Black Trousers and White tie.

Cannot find black shirts anywhere? Have tried the main High street stores - Debenhams, John Lewis, Next, M&S - any ideas, I'm in Birmingham but prepared to travel if needs be?

Would prefer a store I can go in and make the children try on rather than order them online & they don't fit etc as time is against us.

Sizes I need are 9-12mths, 5-6yrs and 10-11yrs? STRESSED :'-(

I don't want to sound harsh but I don't think i'd bother with a theme, people aren't looking at what people are wearing at a funeral,
#2
I could be wrong but I think I saw them in Next.Worth a try.

If you dont have any luck, why not try getting some of that Dylon and dye some white **** black.

Don't make any silly comments please - this was decided by the family to give my grandad the send off he deserved. If you don't know where to direct me for the shirt then please do not comment - thank you!

Thank you for you advice... I've checked Next, they do black shirts but only go up to 5-6yrs. In which I need 1x 10-11yrs.

Deb8z your comment was insensitive and uncalled for.

Thanks ever so much for your help - will try those... Only lost my grandad 4days ago, so am still trying to get through it. Just wanted something nice & different for his send off :-).

try asda for the older one, if they have any black shirts in get the smallest collar size they do, worth atry and return if it doesn't fit. The other option is to try white shirts with black ties, often worn to funerals and white shirts should be really easy to get in any size.

I whole heartedly understand. When my dad died all I could think of was to get a smart black coat.i was only 18 and didn't want to ' show him up'.He died in December and in the days leading up to the funeral this was what I focused on.That's what grief does.I went from shop to shop until I found one.

I think it's lovely what your doing so don't think twice about the negitive comments.

Lots of love
