Hi all,

I used to have a struggle getting size 13 trainers a few years back, but the internet alleviated that and many more shops stock that size now.

However, when I was buying new ones last year it seemed that my feet had gotten even bigger and I ended up buying, after much searching, a pair of New Balance trainers which are a UK size 14 with a 4E width. I'm now in need of trainers again and haven't had much joy finding a) many places that stock them and b) have a selection by companies like Nike or Reebok.

Does anyone have similar issues and know of any good places? Obviously in the US you can get every width and size in pretty much every trainer made- but for some reason the freak footed people of the UK are stuffed! I tried to order from the US Nike store, but they don't ship to the UK :(

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried the 'circus'
Last time I was there I noticed a couple of funny blokes with red noses with
something on their feet similar to what you are looking for. :p:w00t:

Have some rep for 'the lolz'

My trainers have long been referred to as my 'canal boats', apparently you could sail in them :p:-D

That particular pair isn't quite the right size and is out of stock, but thanks for the tip- I'll be having a good look around and seeing what they've got

Yeah, I may well be stuck with New Balance for now. Unfortunately, even their range in my size is quite limited :(

I have similar-ish problems with getting trainers myself. The front of my feet, like the span across my toes, is wider than the rest of my feet.

I'm a size 11 but can try on size 11's in a sports shop all day long and they will all be too tight around the front while the size 12's will all be like canoes!!

I've struggled for years finding anything that fits proper. I've tried "wide" version Reebok Classics but whilst the toe area was comfortable, the middle and back bits around the heel were too wide and loose.

I basically need shoes that are wide at the front but normal at the back and in the middle. Eventualy I stumbled upon K-Swiss Rinzler. They're wide at the front (without actually being marketed as a "wide" shoe) and fit me perfectly. I'm on my third pair now and will be buying another pair pretty soon for our holidays. I've been paying £65 a pair from JD Sports for them. I don't particually like JD Sports as a retailer due to their shady customer relations and try to avoid them whenever possible but hardly anywhere else sells K-Swiss so I've had to grit my teeth.

Fortunately I've found an online retailer called Cloggs who sell them for £45 recently so wil be able to save a few quid. God knows what I'll do when they stop making them!
