Nope I have my computer connected to router with ethernet cable.

It's probably your upload speed, while it passes the minimum it is on the low side. Also is anyone else using the network while you are trying to stream?

Nope just me. I live on my own.

Set your telly to game mode.
Ah read it wrong that the streaming service just realised.

Yeah as mentioned the upload is slow.
Virgin are bad at this, they give around 10% of what you get on download.
I'm getting better now (20) with sky.

Yeah it ruins, it my cousin was playing horizon the other day and wanted me to take over at my end cause he was struggling.
It was unplayable for me.
Was missing shots for fun.

For future reference you'd get a better response posting in the Ask section not misc.

Is that ping a generic ping from a test server, or the actual ping to the game server??

I get 14ms to a test server, but the ping to my favourite game servers is more like 110ms, and sometimes hits 200ms, when lag really does start to cause issues (hit 300 once - the game was totally unplayable).

There is a small script on the WOW forums under the name of Leatrix that alters how uploaded data is sent by your PC, and that can improve the ping times to a game server. It only makes about a 5-10% difference to my best pings, but does tend to keep ping times at the lower end; since using it I rarely see the pings over 100ms.

SO that is not the ping to the game server, you need to find out what THAT ping is, and if there is any way to make it faster.

Speedtest automatically picks the nearest FAST server; so will always give you the best ping you can get, you can force it to use servers from further away, but there is a limit. this can give you a rough idea of the probably ping to your game server.

If the server you are playing on is in the US, and you are in the UK, ping is going to be about 90 at best, and probably in the 100-120ms range.

How do I find that out?

Also virgin have just upgraded my package to 70mb so now actually get 75mbps down and upload is now 5.25mbps.

Research the game, find out the server IP and use a free "ping" program to test the connection time.

Using an online ping tool is no good, as it will give the ping from the tool's server location; you need to know the ping from YOUR location.
