Has anybody used the website https://www.flightcompensation.com/ ? It looks a great idea, although I can't find a flight that I was delayed on for more than three hours. Read More

Seriously better to do it yourself rather than make these leeches turn into the next

"Were you involved in a traffic accident/fall/purchase of PPI/card protection insurance".

Did you have travel insurance? May be easier to claim through them instead

I only have bank account included travel insurance

If you were on a delayed flight, you can put in a claim on your own. The CAA will help if your claim is refused.

thought your only entitled to a claim If it's with EU

As Astec said, claim yourself.

If your taking off from an EU airport or landing in an EU airport you can claim. So could be arriving from anywhere or taking off to anywhere.

To answer your question op I would not use them. Go onto money saving expert and they have template letters you edit to put in flight details etc and you send to the airline. Dependent on which airline it was you can even start your claim over the phone. If the flight you were on has already paid out to other passengers then even one phone call will suffice. Bare in mind regardless of what way you end up claiming you need proof you were on the flight so boarding cards or booking confirmation will suffice. If you do decide to use the above or any other claims company then be prepared to give 25 to 30 percent of your claim over to them.

If you havn't been delayed for more than 3 hours i dont think you can claim. . I claimed for being delayed for 13 hours coming back from cuba, claimed via martin lewis money saving expert and used their tenplate. Got £1900 back( £475 each as 4 of us). Thomas cook needed all details like flight numbers, booking number, etc. Got the details from travel agents.
Its an EU ruling, so once we're out of europe it will probably stop.

my flight was delayed for 3 days because lack of planes, my flight was directly from Pakistan to Manchester, does that mean I can claim?
cheers, because I was really excited back then , August last year

We had a delay of over 7 hrs when flying from Turkey 3 years ago, we tried claiming on the Thomas Cook website and they rejected the claim, I asked why and they said they didn't have to tell us and if we weren't happy go through the CAA, I left it for about 18 months and followed the steps on the moneysavingexpert website and within 2 days they accepted the claim, we got £1150 compensation.

Yes you can claim as it was arriving at an eu airport. You have a timescale to do it in so start straight away by calling the airline or emailing them a template from the money saving expert website. Good luck any questions feel free to ask

I just checked for you as I claimed man-Canada. Yours will only be a valid claim if it was a eu airline such as klm virgin British airways etc. As you were arriving at an eu airport that is the criteria. Had it been the other way round ie man-Pakistan then airline wouldn't matter.
