Has anyone used Discounted Digital?

Has anyone used online seller Discounted Digital and if so what was your experience?

They have the best price on a pair of binoculars but I want to be sure they are an OK company to deal with before parting with my cash.

i got a bit carried away with all the cheap prices and ended up with 10 items in my basket. after i had been directed to the paypal page, a 'confirm your order' page came up from Discounted Digital, suddenly mentioning a whopping £29 for postage (£2.90 per item) + another £12 or so VAT: doubling the price i was quoted in my basket + on the paypal page!
Postage costs are nowhere listed on their website nor is the fact that VAT isn't included in the price.
Very fishy, i stayed well clear and will be double checking my paypal account over the next few days to make sure payment hasn't gone through

I ordered a music system from them online on 22 October. I contacted them 10 days later to ask for an update. I got an email relpy promising to chase it up immediately. I emailed them again a week later asking for an update. No reply. They don't answer the phone number on the website. I got an email yesterday telling me the music system was being despatched, so it will presumably arrive on the 30th day following my order - which is the day my credit card company said they would intervene if nothing had happened by then.

I am very disappointed with their customer service, and really hope the system doesn't develop a fault as I have no confidence that I would be able to resolve any issues.

purchased a set of earphones over a week ago i still havent heard from them, they dont answer calls. and the discount wasnt so fabulous after all because after they added charges onto the price i may as well have bought it from a reputable company in the first place, money has gone out my account but i havent heard anything yet. so in my opinion STAY AWAY, prices are misleading, no customer service, i really dont think i will be getting what i orderd anytime soon. if after a whole week the order is still pending what are the chances of getting it any time soon.

I would strongly advise anyone against using Discounted Digital. I again was lured by their cheap prices. I ordered a lens and 2 weeks later nothing had arrived. I chased them via email and a few days later got a response saying they were looking into it. A few days later I contacted them again, another few days past... finally over 3 weeks after ordering I managed to get through to someone who said they'd contact accounts for me. 30 mins later I got an email from PayPal to say they'd refunded the money, even though their website stated that they had 47 of the items in stock. A complete waste of time!

I didn't get my music system, i started a dispute via my credit card company and they refunded me three days after they sent me the email saying the goods had been dispatched, which was therefore clearly a lie. The same music system has reappeared on their website at £30 higher price than when I ordered

I ordered earphones on 21 January stated 1-3 days delivery had not arrived by 29 Jan e-mail but no reply so put it in dispute with Paypal.
Then e-mail later items been dispatched arrive next day but order wrong I phone and customer service was really not interested the attitude stunk, I complain to him very poor service do not use them all he said send the other one back.

I placed an order for a camera lens and after the order had gone through, I realised I had ordered the wrong one. I emailed the customer services that night and they kindly cancelled the order and confirmed it had not been sent out.

Problem is that was four days ago and I have not received my refund through Paypal. I have since emailed them twice and get no reply. I have also opened a Paypal dispute to prompt them to return my money. Still they have not replied or defended their case to Paypal. I now have to allow them a week to respond to my dispute but I am doubtful I will get a response and will have to pursue a chargeback through my credit card company.

I would not recommend this company at all. They take your money in an instant and now I can not get a refund although they have never posted the goods and I have an email proof of this!!!

Ordered Headphones for my wife's walkman on 15/05/2012 and they arrived on the 16/05/2012. Excellent delivery and the price was the best online that I could find. She is extremely pleased with the sound output and because of the lcord length does not have to use the extension cable now.

Sounds a bit suspect considering everyone else waits 2 weeks then has to file a dispute........Maybe its just the way you type, but to me looks like you are just trying to drum up business for them for reasons which may not be kosher :)

Ordered the Sony Handycam PJ200 at a competitive price, I received my camcorder within 3 days.

My new camera took a little while to arrive from Discounted Digital but it was quite a few quid cheaper than anywhere else. Nobody would even price match it so must have been a bargain! When I emailed they did get back to me so happy enough in the end.

The new system developed exactly the same fault, and they refused to do anything about it unless I sent the system back at a cost of £20. I telephoned them many times and got passed from pillar to post and never got anywhere at all by email. I've given up and walked away.

DO NOT USE! i placed an order over 2 weeks ago now and despite the status being updated to despatched and their claims of 1-3 working days i still havent received my order. try to call them on their customer service number.... good luck. iv been trying for the past 2 days and emails are useless aswell. i thought i would try and get a number for the building they advertise as the returns dept. however the manager for the business park this is on has never heard of the company discounted digital or digital technologies ltd and they arnt listed on the business park website. they seem to have great reviews on the website tho but i couldnt find a section to leave my own review, weird. in my opinion the company is a load of s**t run by fools who are happy to take payment for your order but not deliver.

Its the same bunch. USELESS!!! Do not touch theses guys...initial promises were empty.....then no communication, no product. They simply ignore you.

These guys a bunch of SHYSTERS - stay well clear. Ordered a camera two weeks ago and was advised that it had been despatched. After due delivery day tried to contact them - no response to emails, very difficult to get them on phone - rings and rings with no answer.
Eventually someone did answer and said parcel was with Royal Mail but could not provide a tracking number. Said they would look into it and call me back, Obviously they didn't. Called them again yesterday and and again same response - with Royal mail, no tracking number available. I contacted PayPal and asked for my money back. This morning get an e-mail:

I heard this company discussed on the BBC 3cr Consumer show. A consumer bought from them via the Amazon marketplace.

It was amazing, the seem to think that UK consumer law does not apply to them, they were very difficult refusing to provide the BBC with their email, refusing to respond to complaints via their website.

Under UK consumer Law it does not matter what warranty is offered by a company or manufacturer, if the product does not last for a reasonable length of time or is not of merchantable quality then the supplier (not the manufacturer and not Amazon) are liable.

Of course these people think they can just fob people off but the consumer reported them to Trading Standards and is getting the camera repaired and then going to sue them in the small claims court.

Ironically I was looking at some Nikon kit on their website, well needless to say I will not be dealing with Digital Technology Limited (trading as Discounted Digital).

I was going to order a pair of Sony in-ear headphones with these guys, but I chose the PayPal option and the £51.99 price quoted on their webpage turned into £43.33 on the PayPal page? I though "bargain!", hit the pay button, which then directed me back to theri website where the total price was listed as £54.99 incl postage and V.A.T., so my usually badly calibrated alarm bell started to ring and I declined to press the 'Confirm' button. I then went back to my original Google search, found this webpage and consider myself very lucky!

I still haven't received my Philips Diy QC5570/13 with 180 Degree Rotation Hair Clipper yet. I payed for 1 to 3 day delivery. I've just checked my order status and it's saying the order is still pending. When I ordered them the site was showing 6 in stock so I can't see what the problem is. Going to get in touch with paypal now. Total waste of time. I won't be visiting their site again.

Quite concerned as I ordered a telescope 10 days ago...invoice said 3 days for delivery and order status still says Pending. Have emailed and got no reply so far :-(

They took my money, did not deliver the goods and then told me in an email, (after chasing them 3 times) as they do not answer the phone that due to a "backend problem" they could neither deliver my goods nor refund my money. DO NOT USE

I purchased a mobile phone which never arrived.
The payment was duly taken from my account on the day of the purchase.
During a month, nothing happened except for various status transitions of the order as reported by their website. The order statuses litany is a proof of creativity in inventing excuses: order delayed, order in queue... problems with the stock... order held because of my feedback... contact us directly etc etc. The support contact phone is not available.
At the 3rd support ticket within the month, they just stopped responding to my support requests.
I've immediately contacted my bank to request a "section 75" claim (that is, the chargeback term for items worth more than 100 pounds.
Funnily, after the chargeback was processed, they came back with this ridiculous e-mail stating "we're unable to process your order due to backend complications with our payment service provider in accepting your funds".
I need to do my bit in exposing this kind of scam.

Scammed me as well for £310 quid luckily got my money back as paid by credit card. Beware.

Avoid like the plague... After 2 months of waiting with no delivery I asked them to cancel my order - not quite the 5 working days they estimated (and confirmed in an email)... now more than a month after requesting the refund, still no money. Bunch of crooks.

Do not use Had faulty earphones followed return instructions including getting a RAN number.
They then claimed they did not receive them and refused a refund.
