Lloyds Bank. But the phones are generally refurbished ones that get sent back if lost or stolen. Not brand new.

thats not great.is it?

Not really. If you have a high end phone get a quote off protect my bubble. But be warned that after the initial fee and claims made will incur additional charges so you are looking at forking out at least £150 depending on what phone you have.

so £150 is like excess in car insurance terms?

Yes you could look at it that way. Your compulsory payment for a mobile phone claim would be around £100 and the actual payment to take it out would be your voluntary of between £50-£80.

Flex plus account nationwide £10 month cover various things, including 4 mobile phones in 1 household, worldwide travel cover, breakdown car cover, so on

No banks will give free mobile insurance. It's an added service so will come as part of a packaged account.

That's correct £10 a month, covers upto 4 phones in 1 household, or children's phones upto 4 in total, well worth it as most single full cover phone insurance covering theft , loss damage is at least that per phone, just some advise, not plugging nationwide, but account as good benefits for multiple phone holders, breakdown cover, worldwide travel insurance, much more, thx for input, duscussion

I can second this account. Yes it's £10 per month but the cover you get it great. Not had to claim on the phone insurance but did have to claim on both travel and breakdown - bad month - the customer service was excellent and both claims ran extremely smoothly so I would assume the phone insurance would be similarly good and easy to claim.
I would also recommend getting the account on a joint (not individual account) as that way you can get 2 cars covered by breakdown not just the one car covered on an individual account.

Was thinking of switching to Nationwide in the new year as we already have a mortgage with them. Is it really that good?

I would definitely recommend them, been with them for years and got most our banking stuff (savings, current account, credit card, mortgage) with them. As a rule I am not a loyal person for brands but nationwide do genuinely offer great competitive products and great customer service. Can't think of any problems with them in the 15-20 years used them!

I pay £9.95 for Lloyds Bank silver account. The account have few benefits like travel insurance, roadside assistance including mobile insurance. I have a phone insurance with them. Made a claim on iPhone around June, claim was quick (received iPhone within 3 days including the day reported) but had to pay £100 excess but £50 for any other phones.
Some people claimed they got refurbished iPhone including my friend but mine came fully boxed and sealed as you would get from Apple if you were to buy brand new.

thanks all.it seems that £5 is the usual cost for a bank account with these additional features
