Hiii,

I'm after a really basic, no frills sat nav; preferably with an awesome interface like the TomTom.

Are there any available that have like free maps, and free speed camera information? That'd be great, but don't really need any other extras like mp3s, and don't care about videos etc.

Cheers!

How does that one look? I don't know a lot about these things, is there an alternative I should look at?

have a look at the navigo for under £50 here
it also plays mp3 and mp4 and also you can run tomtom on it

Ooh cheers, looks interesting - You can run TomTom on it? :O How much does that cost?

Not wanting to be fussy, but it looks kinda... tacky compared to the Tom Tom, what's the build quality like?

Currently tempted by the TomTom One v4 - but don't know if it has any speed camera info on it.

I agree it does look tacky cant coment on build quality as i have a tomtom one and i also run tomtom from my mobile phone but i think its the cheapest on the market.

I have a brand new Navigo V2 for sale if you are interested? £47 delivered...

Thanks, it does look tempting - does that mean I could update the maps and speed camera stuff for free, or would I have to pay for it just like the TomTom? That's probably the deal breaker for me right now, free updates on the Navigo and I'll go with that, otherwise TomTom.

@ rehydrated that's about the same price as Ebuyer, and I'd rather get from a proper company if possible, cheers though.

No probs. It is cheaper, and brand new, but I know people can be funny about saving a few quid on something that they want, so they'd rather pay more to have it delivered from a store :whistling:

The Navigo isn't quite as good build quality as the Tom Tom (especially the screen mount) but its not too hard to put the Tom Tom software on (provided your a bit tech savvy) and when you do it works pretty much as well (have used both):)

No worries; I appreciate the offer anyway, thanks.

I went for the TomTom in the end I'm afraid, I'm a sucker for the much improved looks and the cool suction pad on the back :D Might look into getting a Navigo for my dad though, as his TomTom maps are out of date now...
