retroarch is generally good across most platforms up to ps1/n64, but doubt many (if any) android devices could handle ps2

Hardware wise it's all there, today's mobiles are way more powerful than the PlayStation 2 console I think the reason we don't see any decent ones are down to the fact android hardware varies so much.

the hardware is more advanced but emulation takes more hardware to make the original hardware in a virtual environment and then run the software on the virtual machine. PS2 emulation isn't perfect on PC so glitchy on a lot of games :p

The processor was 299mhz, 32mb of ram.. the rule for emulators is the device processing the emulator should be 5x faster, today's systems are allot higher.

The reason is purely software why emulators are not perfect, there's so many PC / Mobile hardware variations it's almost impossible to optimise an emulator to run on either. Thus why occasionally the PC emulator needs the settings tweaking and we get glitchy behaviour.

PS2 emulation on Android is not currently a stable thing and almost all the videos ive seen on youtube are fake. If you want PS2 emulation done well you need a PC. My G3258 build runs PS2 games so well up scaled and so much AA you would think it was playing PS3 games.

If you have a PC then your can steam stream to it using a £16 box from steam. Pretty play any emulator/PC game/App your PC can handle.
