Hi Guys,

Recently added BT TV to my Infinity 2 unlimited account as it was only a quid more.

Anyway was also sent a home hub 3 as I had a hub 2 (the btsport wont work without 3).

The wifi is hit and miss on the phones and want to get a better router/modem. The BT hub 5 overrated, I heard!

But, Asus seem to be mentioned everywhere I look

What is the best Asus for my BT service?

I currently avg around 65mbps DL and 17mbps upload

Asus RT-N66U or 65U or 56U or the DSL versions?

I dont mind spending a 100 bucks or so and will be adding a couple of 8 port switches.

I hope they are ok with VPN and is it a plug and play job?

Any help or advice please

It's more than $100 at the current exchange rate but the Billion Bipac is meant to be excellent.

Not seen any negative reports of the HomeHub5 yet... and at £45 to existing customers is 100% going to be your best option imo.

benefits of infinity but costs a bit per month to have. will check out the billion.

I will double check the reviews as thought it was common knowledge the hubs were, well rubbish and the asus were much better.

You really want to be asking your question on the forum HERE

There is a section that specialises on the asus routers and also merlins excellent firmware.

Personally I have the RT-N66U and it's fantastic. Yes it supports VPN.

Anyway the geeks over there will be sure to have the definitive answer.
