Best Bike for under £200

Can anyone advise what would be the best Mountain Bike or Hybrid bike for no more than £200.
£200 is the limit I have set so unfortunately not looking for replies along the lines of "for xx amount more you can get something that isn't a BSO"

Needs to be brand new.

Not looking for arguments/debates about the merits of cheap bikes.

I just want to know what is considered the best Mountain or Hybrid bike currently available for under £200 for a boy that's about 5' foot 7" - roughly 18" frame I reckon.

I am aware of the Saracen Urban bike that was on here recently but that is not available in the required size.

Thanks.

Yeah so anyone got anything useful to add?

What is the bike going to be used for?

On road, off road?

18" frame for someone of 5;7 is to big imo

It's for a teenager who will ride the bike to/from friends houses and in the park.
Weekends and summer evenings mostly.

I agree 18 may be a bit big. I guess if his still growing then maybe OK.

This is available from evans in a 17" at £205 with free click and collect if you live in london. If you go via quidco you get 4% cash back which should sneak it under you budget! Looks quite good in ano black too.

Do consider second hand too.
