Also open to buying a phone outright I'm currently with giffgaff so keeping my current SIM would be good too! Would prefer to avoid using phones from overseas, let me know what you think.

Google uswitch and check the deals there

I bought a Moto G3 for £130 and then got the BT 4gb SIM only for £5pm deal (with cashback)
Just need to be careful how much data and minutes you need as can soon make the price increase quickly

£20 a month is shocking.
You should be aiming for 4-5gb a month and much better phone than the a3, how about something like a s6?

why bother when payg gives you unlimited calls , texts and data nowadays ?

have a look on appliances direct website.

I assume your talking about a 24 contact. £20 a month seems a lot for a budget contact.

I have the wileyfox, really like it, and tesco some with 6gb 4g data etc for £16.66 a month equivalent.

Just buy a handset or on interest free credit card and focus on a good sim deal.
