Looking to source a newer Android Tablet - preferably 9"+ (10.1" would be perfect).

Budget say £80~100ish.

Would be good if there were cases available as it's going to be for my son (5 years) mainly for Youtube/Movies etc. and occasional gaming use.

how about Tesco HUDl2 @ 69pounds online?.. only 8inch though

failing that a free samsung e tablet (10inch i believe) for returning sky customers

I was reading about HUDLs previously but did they not have some sort of flaw with the charger ports or suchlike? They looked like nice enough devices in store last time I saw them.

8" might be enough screen but he's been using a Lenovo A2109 with an 8.9" screen.

It's a good tablet from a build quality and battery life point of view but it just cloggs up/slows down after a couple of months and you need to do a factory reset to get any sort of performance out of it again...I've never got to the bottom of the problem but lots of other have the same complaint.

Galaxy Tab E is around £99 at Tesco I think.

Seems to be less deals on Tablets right now - wonder if that's because many folks are just getting used to using phones most of the time?

John Lewis can't price match. Below is what they said

"The Samsung Galaxy Tablet E being sold by John Lewis has a Quad-core T-Shark processor, whereas the model offered for £99.00 at Tesco Direct has a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. This means that they are not identical products.

Therefore, on this occasion I am sorry I cannot match the price offered by Tesco."

Tab E doesn't appear to have a great spec with only 8GB of internal storage. Will be half of that at best when you consider the system files?

Increase memory up to 48gb with SD card

Increase memory up to 48gb with SD card

I'd be more concerned about running out of space for apps. I have an LG K8 phone with 8GB internal and it runs out very quickly and many apps can't be fully moved to the ext SD card unfortunately.

Got a bit excited today when I saw the £99 Lenovo Ideapad 100S but then noted it was a laptop...
