Hi there,

could be wrong but I thought 2gb of ram was the max you could put into these machines. I think there is only one ram slot. Check out crucial.com and enter the exact model number for the netbook, they will tell you which ram is suitable and they are a good manufacturer. However if you already have 2gb installed there is no need!

Unfortunately that model of netbook comes with only 512MB of RAM integrated onto the motherboard along with 2GB of SSD integrated onto the motherboard as well - your only expansion option (for storage) is via an SDHC card; physical RAM can not be upgraded any further I'm afraid.

ok, thanks guys, i thought i'd seen somewhere that you could upgrade the 512MB RAM card or something, so just getting ordinary ssd cards will do for downloading anything onto, so can i downloas msn live onto it then? if so where is the web page to load live,

rep added to all thanks xx

Dependent on your netbook configuration it should show you have a 2GB SSD present as disk storage - you should be able to see this as well within the OS you have installed on the netbook as well.

That would be for the netbook models above this series - they had the ability to increase the amount of RAM up to 2GB. You can easily purchase an SDHC to insert into the card reader present on the side of your netbook and mount it within the OS of your netbook; to run Microsoft Live Messenger you need to be running a Windows OS I'm afraid.

You should consider checking out the ASUS EEE PC User Community and Forum - they have a numerous guides in place and fellow owners.
