Best glasses and mugs to fit Tassimo Vivy's?

Hi, I'm looking to get some glasses and mugs that'll fit with the compact Tassimo Vivy machine, especially for the XL lattes e.g. the Carte Noire latte macchiato. Even when I take out the tray at the bottom I find they overflow with my current standard sized latte glasses. I know Tassimo sell their own handle-less glasses, but wondered if people knew of any better/cheaper alternatives, especially as the reviews of Tassimo's glasses aren't that great. Thanks

i wanted to know the answer to this too a few days ago and glad I found something. I picked up two latte glasses for a pound each in Wilkos however the costa xl latte need 325ml glasses which dunelm apparently do and I am on my way now to pick them up so will update you shortly! someone posted a good deal on Argos coffee mugs the other day for a fiver too

Doesn't really matter too much as the cup holder is adjustable

picked up the dunelm ones. volume must be 330ml perfect for the XL Costa lattes. dunelm have 20% off them currently and are around £1.59 per glass and they have handles. won't have the overflow problem with these

Thanks Raggo, that's grand, I'll try and head out to Dunelm and see if they have any in my local store, shouldn't even be too tricky to convince the other half to make the trip either, bonus!

They are looking for glasses of the correct capacity to fit the drinks, not the holder.

no problem I done a reserve and collect as I didn't know if they would have enough stock on the shelves as they are on sale. best to purchase online and pick them up. they are identical to the Wilkos ones which I have also purchased as hot chocolates would fit nicely in the wilko ones as the dunelm ones will be slightly too big.

Just to clarify, would these would definitely fit the Vivy model which is a lot smaller than the other tassimo machines? I have what I think is a fairly standard size latte glass that is just a bit too tall (even with the cup tray removed) the milk foam ends up covering the spout and subsequently spills over making a right mess.

I have the vivy and use the asda glasses. Just about fits to the point the froth touches the nozzle!. Not sure it will take the xl drinks though as never tried.

To be honest I wouldn't know about the Vivy as I have the Tassimo Amia only purchased on Black friday. If it helps the dunelm glasses measure diameter- 8cm (3") x H 16cm (6") (measurements taken from website) so you could just measure this against your machine. Sorry I am not much help!

Sorry to take this ot but can I ask you guys what you think of the lattes? we got a tassimo but steered clear of a lot of varieties based on the pretty damning reviews relating to the new pods...would be interested in hearing any feedback from anyone who hasn't used the old pods.

I had to order the Costa latte 'original recipe' pods from Amazon. bloody expensive but had no choice as I had read these bad reviews of the Costa lattes tasting disgusting with the recipe change. they should be arriving in the next few days. My husband will be none the wiser as this is our first coffee machine and I got it as a present for him (funnily enough I don't drink tea or coffee) I want to buy some hot chocolate pods for myself but I'v read they have changed the cadburys ones and I'm a massive Cadbury fan so I have no idea what il be drinking! not a good time to buy a coffee machine when they have changed the recipes! Sod's law!

I got a tassimo for christmas have spent a fortune on pods and have yet to find one i like. Costa vile, others all ok but leave a sweet taste in my mouth (i dont have sugar in coffee) got the cadburys hot chocolate for the kids, very watery and again fake sweet taste, my son said 'is ok but when can we get the hot chocolate we normally have', bought oreo today and it was a hit with my son, but makes such a tiny drink! 190ml so works out so expensive!

I buy the oreo but just hold thd button down longer for more water, only slight taste difference and you get a full latte glass instead.

I've only tried the Carte Noir latte macchiato since they changed them and yes it isn't as good as the original that's for sure, the biggest change I've noticed is that I get more residue at the bottom of the cup than previously and the milk isn't as frothy. The taste is alright, but no where near as good as the old ones sadly, hopefully Tassimo will see sense soon and change them back.

As a side note, I had a bit of a result with finding a glass to fit the Vivy, I found as part of the sales at Tesco a pack of 6 Bodum glass mugs for £9, they work a treat. Can be bought online, but currently out of stock by the looks of things; http://www.tesco.com/direct/bodum-glass-mugs-6-pack/525-7057.prd
