Bought one from Wilkinsons for a fiver or a tenner and works perfectly.

With Freeview being a digital signal you do not require a strong signal to receive a good picture. Any indoor freeview capable aeriels from the likes of Curry's or Argos should do fine.

Some alternative suggestions would be to send the signal from your main tv in the front room up to your bedroom tv. I'm not keen on video senders but they do work quite well. I have a coaxial cable sent through the wall outside up the wall and into the bedroom through the wall upstairs. Ensure you use signal boosters at the beginning and end of the cable. Sky tv, freeview, dvds and pc can all be seen on all 3 tv's upstairs.

Inform the landlord you'd like a decent strong roof aerial feed, see what he says and go from there.
