I am a student and i wanted to buy a new laptop for my studies.
I will be using software like Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Word, etc.
It would be good if the laptop was lightweight and portable.

I have researched for a bit and found this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/HP-15-ay015na-Laptop-Turbo-silver/dp/B01H9UVTLW/ref=sr_1_5?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1474672491&sr=1-5&keywords=HP+laptop

Although i am not sure if that is the best option.
Anyone have any other suggestions?

For the programs you're going to be using, I would suggest you get a laptop with SSD or replace the HDD from the laptop you buy with an SSD.
Also looking at that HP laptop, I am slightly confused if its 1920*1080p or 1366 x 768.
I would suggest get one that's 1920*1080p. It will make a big difference when you're using photoshop etc.
I'll try and look if I can find any around your budget.

don't forget to take advantage of your student savings.. If you don't have Unidays/NUS.. wait until you get those.

It will save you some ££

I'm looking for almost the exact same thing, the AMD A12 version of the Lenovo Ideapad 310 looks like a good choice (I can only find it on John Lewis) or the HP 15-ba015na.

In general the ones with AMD A10 or A12 chips are best for graphic based work in this price range or an Intel one with Nvidia or AMD dedicated gpu.

My problem with Intel CPU's is the majority have worse intergrated graphics than the amd equivalent

Laptops with Intel are usually more expensive but also usually better than AMD

Also did some more digging and found this:
https://www.shop.bt.com/products/asus-k501uq-dm051t-intel-core-i5-6200-12gb-256gb-15-6--windows-10-k501uq-dm051t-CBMH.html?refs=512200000-4294936153

Compared to the HP that i have linked this laptop has:
> 256 SSD
> GTX 940MX
> Additional 4GB's of RAM
> Back lit keyboard
But is also £188 more expensive.
