You could buy a vga/dvi to HDMI converter to plug it into your tv

Hi People,

I have just read this and would say to shop around. I work for an IT reseller based in nottingham; In my exp i would say that a brand like Samsung, Hp or Tosh are your best bet as all come with good guarantees and have better components so are less likely to give you any long term issues.

Also i would say i depends on how you intend to use the laptop? Are you wishing to use this for Gaming, Video streaming or every day use? Is weight an issue?

If you are able to give me some ideas on this then i would be happy to point you to some ideas as to what i think might be more suitable for the budget in mind.

Hope this helps

personally gaming is not a massive issue for me, more day to day stuff although it will be replacing my desktop and possibly used for streaming, I don't want it to weigh as much as a small pig but don't need it to be ultra portable either :-) I know im piggybacking on the back of someone else's post but any help much appreciated.
:-) thanks

Ok, That is fine i will spend a little while for you and look around tonight, Are you looking around the same budget then? Streaming can be easily achieved these days with most the laptop specs on the market so not a major on that account.

Screwloose - This is a very good spec providing you don't mind AMD it covers all your requirements and i have looked around Ebuyer is the cheapest placed for it.

Or again it is a celeron box however in the price point and also comes with a webcam.

Last but not least my over favorite, comes with an LED screen good all round spec with an intel chipset, 2gb onboard with a 250gb hard drive, plus it is Samsung so it will last.

Hope i have been of some help,

Hi there.
I think that a good choice for you would be the dell inspiron 1564 which is available from carphone warehouse for £399. It has an intel core i3 processor and 2gb of ram with a 250gb hard drive. For the money with that processor that's a very good deal
hope that helps,
Tobster
