Celeron M is the naffest of intel's current mobile processors so will be a slow laptop, also 64mb graphics is dismal and will not impress

If you want to get the best value in a laptop, you need to look to the £450-650 mark or there's always plain jane acers which have good spec

I would suggest you wait a few days till Dell have a rethink on current prices. Games playing and cheap laptops dont go together well unless you are happy with far cry or lesser games with reduced eye candy.

Welcome to the forums btw

Think Dell are going to put on a decent January sale for notebooks Mike?

I hope so, if i could just shave £50-100 off the price of a 6400 i'd be very happy

Yes if you want something that will give you decent processing speeds...Core 2 CPU prices are falling so you should see some competitive pricing next year..I'm also in the market but am waiting for Vista loaded laptops....much to markwillis annoyance!! LOL

i dont want to play games on a laptop, here is what i want to do:
run msn and internet and media player and maybe another program at the same time

they are the main things that i want a laptop for.
sorry to intrude this thread but would that laptop meet me specifications?
