I need to upgrade my mobile as it has finally given up on me and would like suggestions on the best phone to get at the moment. I currently have a Sony Ericsson C905 aand am entitled to upgrade to any phone on Orange. I want a phone with a decent camera with flash, and also use it for internet a bit. I don't want an iPhone and have already tried a W995 and a Vivaz which have had very poor cameras. Any suggestions?

HTC Desire --> Android os

you will be looking at £25/mo. the best deal I have found so far is: http://www.mobilephonesdirect.co.uk/Brands/HTC/b509/p31043.aspx

Just waiting for my contract to expire or come up for renewal before I buy one, done a lot of research and the camera is amazing along with fast internet, makes my nokia 5800 xm look like a brick... and anyone that owns a nokia 5800 xm will know that it can do more than an iphone :P.

Desire looks nice, wasnt sure on the flash as it said LED flash on the review I read and thought this may be like the Vivaz one which was rubbish

In my opinion android is the way to go but was very disopointed with the desires camera as a whole, was slow to react and missed shots alot of the time. If the camera is the most importent thing to you then i think best to stay away from teh desire or nexus one.

If the camera isnt that importnet for you then go for a desire (or nexus one if u can get hold of one) they are a great bit of kit.

Prehaps I will go and test 1 out as Ive read a few mixed reviews on the camera and just use an old spare handset for now

Think its wise to go do some research and handson testing like it said the biggest bug on the desire/nexus camera is the 1sec lag there seems to be in taking the shot.
