Best Nokia phone for £100?

Wanting to have a go at a windows phone so looking for a Nokia at no more than £100 (strict).

Been looking at the 625 and 630.

The 630 is the newer model but seems to have worse specs other than the quad core v dual core. Has anyone used both these phones and can anyone tell me which would be better?

Any other to consider under £100?

Also is windows 8.1 out of the box a much better alternative to Windows 8?

Windows 8.1 is a great improvement, You can get developer preview on older models and it's due for release anytime now for the older models anyway.

Decide what specs you want, like front facing camera, Led etc, Performance wise Windows 8 doesn't really need quad core although both only have 512mb ram which does restrict some of the apps available and speed opening them.

I think the 630 is a step backwards tbh, They'll both navigate well but I'd still try and get one with 1gb ram as a minimum simply because the app restrictions.

The thing that is putting me off is no 4G on the 630. That is the deal breaker for me, hopefully the 625 gets 8.1 soon. It will run the apps that I use just fine I imagine, I won't play any heavy games on it.
