The demo of this game has confirmed for me that it may possibly be one of the best things ever.

Does anybody have a good pre-order or launch date price available, ideally between £30-35 as I'm not silly enough to think that we will get it for less than that. Unfortunately with this title being a PS3 exclusive, it doesn't seem to be subject to the usual price war at the moment. :-(

Between £38 and £40 almost everywhere
Shop To may be your best bet as they promise £3 to you if it aint received by release date

But I'd hold off a bit yet as someone may drop the price to start a price war or a supermarket might have it for £30 on relesae day

Unfortunately I won't be in the UK on the release day and I know from what happened with mw2 that the supermarket deals don't usually hang around, plus I'm not sure if it's really a big enough title for that.

Thanks though, I guess we will just need to keep our eyes peeled. :)

HMV have the HMV exclusive special edition for £42.99

You get a free early download of the first DLC that will be out next month (I think). When its officially released the DLC will probs cost £5+ so it'll cost in total around about the same as the normal edition

hmv Exclusive Limited Edition Version 'Heavy Rain' is a dark, immersive and emotionally-engaging experience; a noir-thriller where decisions are charged with importance and actions can have drastic and unforeseen consequences.
hmv Exclusive Version Contains:
Exclusive Embossed Slipcase Sleeve
Inpack Voucher To Download The Following Digital Content:
Heavy Rain Dynamic Theme
Heavy Rain Official Soundtrack (7 tracks, containing the main orchestral themes, recorded at Abbey Road Studios)
Episode 1 of the Heavy Rain Chronicles - The 'Taxidermist' scene
Breaking with traditional game conventions where necessary, the gameplay is based around story, emotional involvement and the player's decisions and interactions, rather than high-scores, combat and competition. Intuitive gameplay and controls are also fundamental to the experience – ensuring that the game is mature but accessible, and avoiding alienating players with obscure stats and complex interfaces.
In 'Heavy Rain' you don't watch the story – you play it. The dynamic narrative unfolds through the players' actions - not cut scenes - and every action has a consequence. The choices you make and the way you interact with other characters have repercussions throughout the storyline.
With unprecedented responsibility over the fates of the game's characters, players will find 'Heavy Rain' an emotional experience unlike any other. It dares to tackle subject matter and themes rarely touched upon in video games, making it a genuinely mature game for a new world of adult gamers.

Shame the zavvi 10% voucher finished the other week "wicked10" as that would have worked out about £34 plus quidco would have made it just over £30.
Have not got round to trying the demo yet but will give a try today

the demo was ok-ish looks good but for some reason it didnt have that all out entertaining edge, so imma hang on til i can get it for around 20 on ebay or somehting once someones finsihed the game or doesnt like it etc, the game however is exclusive and not a big title even at that so yeh no price wars, just like MAG, and that was probably more anticipated that HR. although mag was clearly worth the £40 spend :D

You see that comment right there tells me that you probably don't know a great game when you see one. ;-)

I definitely would if I were you, it's a big download at 1.7GB but if your internet connection allows then it really is worth it.

Thanks mate but I wouldn't pay that much for a game, no mattter how good.

I would actually be breaking my own rules by paying over £30 for this, usually I will just shop and barter around until I get the best price possible. I actually got Bioshock 2 for £24 this week by doing that. :)

EDIT: Well I ended up using a Very.co.uk code ZZ022 plus a free delivery discount code to buy it from there for £30 delivered. Estimated delivery date is 1st March which works fine for me really.

Just used those codes really and signed up for one of their credit accounts so I'll just pay off the invoice when it arrives as long as it's only for £30 :)

ah I see, I've done that with Littlewoods, Very and Additions already haha got the MW2 hardened edition from Additions for £40 (worth it because COD: classic is £12 in the PS store and has a platinum trophy) a week after release and got 2 pairs of trainers (lacoste and fred perry) for £35 aswel from Very. Can't remember what I got from Littlewoods lol

It will let you order it for £30 by either account or by card, the codes aren't just for new customers only. :)
