I am trying to find the best phone for my Mum.

She is currently on a o2 sim only deal and doesnt want to tie into a contract. Looking for best Smart phone where she can use/browse the internet, and use facebook.
Looking for a phone which is sub £100.

Have seen deals for likes of LG Cookie, Samsung Apollo etc.

Any help appreciated

Hi Blurry, im sure someone on here will be able to answer your question, however you have posted in the wrong section. You want this moved to the Misc section as its not a deal.

I can highly recommend something android'ie

it allows you to customise it to such a high level that any range can take it while also providing Facebook apps etc....

for ~£100 you could get the sanfrancisco /sic (on orange but there is prob an O2 equivalent)

they are so so fun and with apps feels like a constantly changing phone so you never get bored of it

there is the HTC smart
http://shop.o2.co.uk/mobile_phone/pay_monthly/init/HTC/Smart_Black

or samsung Galaxy @ £150
http://shop.o2.co.uk/mobile_phone/pay_monthly/init/Samsung/Galaxy_Mini_Black

i would say the galaxy is worth the extra money as it has a capacitive screen which is better for noobs as it doesn't require a stylus

other option is find a Hero, they seem to go for around 100 and are good phones, telling their age a bit now but for a newbie would do the trick (just make sure is unlocked or on o2 as can be a pain to unlock )

I have just bought a Palm Pixi Plus. You can only get them new if you can find an O2 shop that still has one - they aren't selling them online anymore as they were discontinued at the end of last year. But I think they are dead cute and I love it!
New these are £100, much less second hand.

Have you had a look at this phone..it has Android built in and is "UNLOCKED" Altogether including an orange Topup is is 80 quid, but she would be able to use with her O2 Sim only plan (simplicity I hope)

Oh and unlike other suggestions its brand new...got to be worth a try for 80 quid :-)
