BeThere broadband

Hi guy,
Flatmates have decided its time to move away from BT broadband and onto BE broadband. I just thought I would quickly confirm the following:

Be value is 14 pound a month and has a 24 pound setup fee. I can use the free setup code and then pay 14 pounds a month for the rest. Also refer a friend means I get a free month as does the person who referred me. Now onto the tricky part after all this do I still get the full 55 pounds from Quidco for it or will it be lower. Checked on the quidco website and they seem to say its for any connection.

Deciding on either Be Value or Be Unlimited at the moment, will try for Be Unlimited and drop the plan depending on the speed (should be around 16MB from online calculators based on current ADSL modem specs). Just wanted to be sure I would get the whole 55 pounds back from either plan even with a free month and free setup. Cheers :santa:

I need a new ISP asap and was thinking of going for be.

I have just moved into a new house so what would be the best value package for a high quality broadband service and phone line package?

A bt line with Be internet a good choice?

Sorry Nickmax1 for that, got a cold and not 100% with the brain today.

Finally just wanted to confirm my maths-

Be Value - 24 pounds setup fee - but free with code.
14 pound a month.
1 month free with a referral.
Works out to be 154 a year before Quidco.

Seems to be 99 pounds a year after Quidco (realise it takes around 3 months for Quidco to come through). 99 pounds for the first 12 months.

Be Unlimited - 24 pounds setup fee - but free with code.
18 pound a month.
1 month free with a referral.
Works out to be 198 a year before Quidco.
So should be 143 pounds for first 12 months. Again great value.

Do you know if Quidco continues after a year or its a one off deal - I am thinking one off deal. So will then be 154 pounds a year for BE value each year and 198 pounds a year for BE Unlimited. Sorry for the slowness just need to verify this stuff in Excel before the room mates agree :giggle:

I don't know if they have changed their policy but I don't think that the refer a friend to get one month free applies to Be Value, it only applies for the other 2 packages, Be Unlimited and Be Pro. Therefore in year one for Be Value, should cost £168 (£113).

Quidco is a one off deal, unless you want to sign up again. :whistling: If you do this, the refer a friend to get one month free for Be Unlimited and Be Pro can be declined from BE (maybe seen as abuse of the system?).

In summary:

Be Value will cost £168 (£113) per year. After 12 months, it becomes a rolling contract, requiring only a months notice to cancel.

Be Unlimited will cost:
£216 (£161) per year, otherwise;
£198 (£143) with one months free Internet (refer a friend scheme). This will become lower when you refer more friends up to a max of 4 people, I think for the new contracts. 3 months notice is required to cancel. If this is too long for you, there is an express cancellation fee to be paid.

**The values in brackets assumes Quidco being paid and with free connection being applied to your account. Quidco is not guaranteed to be paid, however if it does (which is a big plus) then these values will be correct.**

Cheers for that. Not planning on signing up again for Quidco but wanted to clarify it. If Quidco comes through I will be happy if not its still a good deal when comparing it to BT. :-D

Does anyone know what codes exist for free connection? I'm looking to connect my family but can't remember what code I used to join. Cheers
