Blackberry Playbook 64 gb smashed screen.

My youngest thought it would be a good idea to use this as a frisbee, so I need a replacement screen.

I've seen some on ebay (from China and HK) for around £25.00, but I've also seen playbooks go for around £20.00.... stupid question....if I attempt to repair this myself, could I use a screen from a 16gb Playbook or would it need to be from a 64.

If anyone has any tips or knows where I could get the screen replaced for a reasonable amount of money, please let me know.

Cheers

same screen but tbh with 64's going for as little as £25 del on ebay its not worth repairing and just buy another one

The one he trashed was practically brand new, so I'd prefer to replace the screen as I know that this is the only thing wrong with it.

MBC, that is a valid point, but if it is cheaper to replace the whole unit, then surely the sensible thing to do is replace it, rather than fix it?

You can then sell your broken one on for spares or repair.

I know it sounds like a long way for a shortcut, but for talking sake, if a new screen is £28 and a complete new unit is £27, then I know what I would do (_;)

I got a 3 year accidental damage cover with mine, but over the last two years I realise I am not that clumsy. I want this to break (but not in a dishonest way) so they will give me some store credit or something. And the fact that it now sits in a drawer most of the time is not helping my cause!
