Hi. I hope this helps. I live quite near Blackpool (about 10 miles away), and so we're there very often. I'll keep an eye out for place where you can get vouchers, especially try tourist information leaflets.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is one of the best theme parks in the UK, but it doesn't get much public knowledge because they never advertise it. The "Big One" roller coaster is one of the first things you see when you enter the resort. The wristbands now include entry to the 3 shows as well, including a circus musical, a ver stunning ice show and a caberet show including magic tricks by the one and only Richard-De-Vere. The shows are really well coreographed, and are done by professionals.

Blackpool Tower is obviously the most famous attraction, where admission includes entry to the circus, ballroom, jungle jims (the UK's LARGET play are for the kids), the tower top ride, the dinosaur ride and the aquerium.

If you enjoy swimming, try the sand castle opposite the Pleasure Beach. Full of waterslides, this huge swimming pool also has a fun wave machine.

If it's animals which you like, try the zoo, with animals from all over the world. There's a huge sea-life centre, featuring a shark tunnel alson the prom too.

A doctor who fan?? Try the doctor who exebition!!

Try the piers. There's a big wheel (and I mean big!!) on central pier, a small tram going down north pier, and lots of rides on south pier.

Hava a ride on Blackpool's heritage trams, many of which data back to AT LEAST the 1930s, and often more. There's a fleet of open-top tour busses too. And Hey!! The tram line straches right from the furthest end of Blackpool to the furthest end of Fleetwood (where I live), 11 miles in all!!

Of course, you could just go on the beach and ride the donkeys instead!!

The VOUCHER bit:

The biggest disappointment I found was the other day, when I went on www.daysoutuk.com (which used to be FREE) and found that it is now £14.95 per year subscription!! This site was, and still is, full of vouchers for attractions all around the UK. Depending on how long you're in Blackpool, you can sson get the subscription cost back, because there's a 2 for 1 voucher for the Tower, and a 3 for 2 wristbands voucher for the Pleasure Beach, and that's just a start.

Hope you find this useful,
duckmagicuk2

P.S. Try searching for some of the above attractions, followed by "voucher" or "discount voucher". You never know, you may get lucky!!

leonie, i live in blackpool and will also keep a lookout!

the pleasure beach have a special offer at the moment: Discounted show & ride wristbands. Available Monday to Friday from 4th April until 27th May 2005 (excluding 2nd May - Offer price: £12.50 each

however, the opening hours are reduced - e.g. i went yesterday with my bf and it was £12.50 from 1pm til 5pm and some of the rides weren't open at all. good value tho!

just a note on the wristbands, you get a choice of show not all 3 and you have to go on the date of your visit to the park.
