Looking to upgrade the angel eye bulbs on my BMW X5 (E53) from the standard yellow halogen to a more whiter led look.

Been looking at the CREE LED 10w bulbs which I've gathered from research are the best to get.

Has anyone purchased some before? Any recommendations?

Looking to get these ones in particular:

I helped someone fit theirs and I think they were the same. 10w anyway. It took about 2 minutes to fit them too.

Were the results any good? In terms of brightness?

Yes, nice and bright. I think when we put them in the budget ones which were 3/5w were £25 and 10w cree ones were more like £100, so that's a good deal if they are legitimate.

Must have been a while back then with those prices. It looks legit, fingers crossed! Thanks for the reply

Cree just refers to the actual led lights themselves so there are so so many designs of the whole bulb around and probably most of those aren't even using Cree lights, but looking at the feedback you should be OK.

dont do it, cost me big time. It can mess up the onboard computers. BMW put it right in the end.

Really? There's endless amounts of posts on BMW forums where people have changed them to the led bulbs and had no issues, apart from some flickering when you start the car.

I did it and yes they looked great, however i started getting warning on the dash. if you search door ajar warnings you will find other people with same issue.
