Just a tip.. these scales aren't very accurate at telling you your body fat levels.

The readings will alter significantly if you've had a drink, or not had a drink for a while, if you've had caffeine/creatine, been exercising or just sweating.

This is not true as drinking or not drinking, sweating etc will not alter your body composition or body water significantlyas you say, it will be very much in the margins ands will only alter your body fat by less than 0.25% ie not very much

thanks for the replies everyone, i've been told the best and only time to weigh yourself accurately is in the morning whne you haven't eaten or been drinking for about 8 hours

Usha Rocks: out of the two from argos which one do you think is better? my nearest homebargins is only 100 miles way!

I would say the Weight Watchers offers better value as it also calculates BMI, uses 1 battery and is not glass and is cheaper at only £14.99 if you can get it

hope you like it.
It is best to weight yourself first thing and preferably after you have been to the ahem...toilet.
I think these work a treat and give me a constant reading.
I can tell whether I have lost weight for real.
It gives you a boost to lose some body fat as sometimes when your body is more toned, you might not see the effect through falling weight alone.

yeah thats true, i weight lift as well and i'm trying to lose some fat at the moment to get a little more toned, i've noticed the fat slowly going but my mate thinks i've got bigger?!

I think the only down-side to the weightwatchers scales, is that I don't think they have a memory for saving the last reading (least I haven't found it on mine), so you have to write it down, and when it scrolls through a number of things (that probably, admittedly, aren't that important or possible that accurate) isn't that easy.

Actually yes it does make a big difference, of up to 3%.. not .3!!
