Don't live anywhere near Leicester, but we had a quote from BG to replace our old boiler and add 1 more small radiator and it was just under 5 thousand.

Went on the Worcester Bosch website (which was the make BG use) and used their reliable installer option to get three quotes. The cheapest was £1800 and dearest £2300, so told BG that unless they were prepared to come within these quotes they can forget it. They didn't want to know so went with the middle quote and paid £2000 for a Condensing Boiler much bigger than we needed (we planned to extend, which we now have) and got 1 new radiator and thermostatic rad valves for all the existing radiotors.

Got a 2 year garantee and have no problems at all in the 5 years we have had it.

Thanks for this - one of their fitters in Leicester came round last night and quoted £2200 2K less than GB - have now applied for the scrappage so hopefully might get £400 off that as well.
