i use a local plumber he has never let me down so far
I may be wrong, but I think British Gas just do a one off service if that helps
A local heating engineering company does a careplan for us, they are brilliant, before that we were with Corgi Homeplan, avoid them at all costs. Some say, just put £20 away each month, that works too, but check your local independents first.
Thanks all
Work out how much a service is going to cost as with british gas u get a boiler service included with there plans , so reduced the cost of the cover for the year
British Gas do a service for £78

You might aswell sign up for their boiler cover & get cashback via quidco which would work out a few quid extra.

Or use homeserve also.

Both covers include a boiler service.
We had breakdown cover with Homeserve, left it for a while and then called them to say we're having problems. At no extra charge they came and fixed the boiler. something like £400 or more on parts and they will replace the boiler at a much cheaper price, we fell just short of the £400 mark. This is only an option if your boiler is currently in good health or you can get away with using it as is for a few months. We had hot water, just that after a few minutes in the shower and water would run cold. Build up in the heat exchanger! This was roughly £100 for the year because we'd never been a customer of theirs. Hope this helps.
Thanks again all for your time and advice ,much appreciated
