Something really strange is happening to me. Basically, I booked a bed in a hostel called Arsernal Tavern in London. Its address is 175 Blackstock Rd, London N4 2JS. It doesn't have very good review but there're still thousands of reviews about it due to cheap price and being near the stadium. My booking is in June, but the other day I got bored and searched to see it again. However, I couldn't find any of its information. Their own website has been shut down, all pages on other sites such as hostelworld have been removed completely. For other sites still having their information, all days are marked as unavailable. They don't update their social networks anymore. I tried to contact them via email, facebook, phone but there was no answer. I searched and there was no scandalous news about it. It seems the hostel just quietly disappears. I can't believe something like this can happen. The hostel has been around for years and are pretty big with 50 beds or something. I've already paid in full for my stay and I believe there're a heck a lot of people like me who haven't known what's happening. It sounds the hostel has run away with our money. What should I do now?

As promised, I've popped in and everything is fine. They have computer issues. Checked out the place also, seems OK.

I booked directly on their website. I regret I didn't pay via an agent like hostelworld but the price on their website was a couple of pounds cheaper, I also never thought something like this could happen.

It sounds like it is £10 a night? Unless you're staying for weeks, at least it's not hundreds of pounds! I would start with contacting your bank :) Regardless, I wouldn't give them any money looking at the reviews (sorry a bit late for you :( )- your alternative would be to book further away and use London Underground (or walk) to your final destination.

Arsenal have been struggling for some time and it's been all over the news. This was expected.

From looking on their website it looks like they are moving to a new domain or doing a redirect.

This usually takes a bit of time

Maybe they wanted to shift the domain to a new one hence the site is not loading

I am sure it will be fine

I'm near by to so will drive past tomo

Oh gosh, thank you so much! I still wonder why they had to close their page on travel agents like hostelworld. Anyways I feel much relieved. Thank you x
