Breakdown Cover

Hi,

I would like the best value breakdown cover for my car. Ideally I'd like to spend less than £50.

At the moment I have RAC roadside personal based however the have come with a silly (How they work it out I do not know!) renewal quote.

After reading I think I should possibly try and opt for a service that will actually forward me back home (Or to a garage of my choosing) rather than simply roadside that may be useless.

Best I've found is to buy basic AA cover using QuidCo and then get the Relay cover for £10 as advertised on here.

I've also considered the AutoAid route however I am concerned that I may not always be in a position where I can afford to pay £400 + for a tow home, even though I can claim it back later.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks.

Or if you want European breakdown, the German equivalent of the AA do a good deal. Helps if you use google translate http://www.adac.de

First Call look great but they do not offer any cover for individual rather than the vehicle... I rang them in hope that I was just missing something obbvious on the website... Shame!

Any others?

Haggle, I got a good quote from the AA and then got the RAC to beat it, saved about £60 from the initially daft renewal quote.
