Sky very good broadband never had any real problems they dont throttle at peak times, unlimited up to 20 meg depending how close to exchange you are is £7.50 if you take phone and t.v unbeatable price.
I think Virgin are great.
Although you need to have cable in your area. ( Which i'm sure most places do now)?

Unlimited broadband, free wireless router and options for phone. Tv etc.

Some offers for new customers.
Plusnet are very good..
Sign up with topcashcackback for sky and there's £95.95 in your back pocket going direct to sky will get you the same deal just with no cash so it's not rocket science mate go with topcashback all the best
Virgin used to be good until they introduced the "UN"fair usage policy. Basically only allows you to download 4500mb between 10am and 9pm so it's pretty pointless.

I'd go for Be Broadband.
Like ashkan123 go with BE or O2 Broadband because they are the best.

And they are great with xbox live!!!
talldav - Do this first:

1) Find out your max connection speed with this. Then you can tell whether ADSL is good enough for you.

2) Find out whether cable is in the area. If so, your minimum connection speed here is 10Mb.

From this info you can determine whether you can go with ADSL and/or cable ISPs.
Sky broadband is also an ADSL service.
I could get 1Mb max with ADSL, or 10Mb min with cable. What do you think I did?

Babylove - Virgin broadband is also available on ADSL through the Virgin National service.
