Just buy a new one

You could try yourself, there are a load of videos on YouTube showing you how, just have to buy a screen from eBay.

Very easy to change just make sure you open it carefully with the suction cup buy a replacement screen with accessories otherwise you will be stuck without the main things

Market stalls about £25,
repair shops (shoe, key cut, phone repair) £40

Self repair £4.99 + 20-60 mins

it's a simple task. Pretty hard to screw up. Just record which screw went where and you're golden.

"ifixit"website and youtube videos will help

You're wanted iphone 4 lcd + digitizer (do NOT get just one, you need both).
Also a tool set.

Fit it yourself, really simple with videos on youtube, my 13 year old fitted one on his iphone a couple of days back. Try it

you can also take it to any apple store they can fix it there

I broke mine got one on ebay for 20 ish pound and followed a video on you tube. Fiddly but managed it.

thank you all for your help.especially about the digitizer. not mentioned in some videos.you would think all those smart guys at apple would put the screen on the back of the phone where it would be easy to change.

I don't want to scare you because it is not too hard but it can be a little tricky!

I use to repair iPhones and the number of people who tried it theirself and messed up was unbelievable! If you do attempt it be very careful and find a good tutorial!

yes i don't exactly have my thumb in the middle of my hand. but having looked at a couple of videos, i would say, the hardest part is knowning or remembering what screw goes where. when re assembling. as they seem to have 3 or 4 different types in them.long, short, and fat ones.you would have to do a drawing on paper and pin the screws into position on the drawing as you remove them.might have a bash.i understand apple charge round a hundred quid.needless to say not from me their not.

I have just sent my sons away to a seller on eBay for repair.
£18 inc return post back, fixed perfectly. I was surprised it could be done as its had previous water damage but thought it was worth a go for £18 :)
