Broken remote controls

Does anyone have or know where I can get, a few remote controls or mobile phones which don't work or aren't required? I've looked on eBay and you can buy them, but they are not exactly cheap.
My little boy loves playing with ours, and after trashing 2 of them, we need to find a way to satisfy his hunger for gadgets while maintaining our sanity (he is 18months old).

At the risk of sounding lke a grumpy old man!!
These are not suitable playthings for a young child, they contain toxic substances and may present a choking hazard if bits come off.

You could say everything is basically a choking hazard though. If it's keeping the kid entertained, let it play with it!

There is a brand new remote control at work on the window sill that came from a new DVD player I got from my brother , kept it for over 2 years as I didn't need it . When I did try to use it was broken .It was an ALBA ...................total C-R-A-P . dont ever buy anything with this name on it !
Right , to the point , you can have the remote if you want . Still in the bubble wrap , so it'll be safe for the babe.
I'll not be back to work till Monday . PM if you need it.

Go into Carphone Warehouse and ask for an old dummy phone! I work there, and we get the odd request for the kids to have a phone to play with. I don't know about other stores, but we are more than happy to give out the odd one here and there! =)

Thanks everyone.
I am aware these can be dangerous for little mouths, however, he is always supervised when playing with them - we are careful, but I agree with you melipona - if left alone with one of these it could prove dangerous.
Poundland and mobile phone shops are a good idea - I'll try them soon.
Ricko - thanks for the offer - I suspect it would cost you close to a pound to send your remote, so although it's very kind of you, it probably makes more sense for me to get to poundland.
Rep coming to all good helpers.
