I'm looking to renegotiate my parent's broadband package with BT on the back of increasing charges.

They currently have unlimited broadband, unlimited weekend calls and BT Sport lite (online/app) for £46.89 per month. BT have offered their current package for £35.24 per month (12 month contract) or the above with the addition of BT TV Essentials with Youview box for £41.24 (12 month contract with £60 activation fee).

Are either of these deals worthwhile or should I look to knock them down further?

Thanks.

No, they would rather pay monthly.

I would swap to sky via Quidco & do their unlimited 17mb & basic TV package & pay £40 ish a month but £100 ish quidco plus £100 rewards.

which broadband are they offering? speed?

You could definitely go further, try get it down to around £30 pm then it should be a much better deal.

Fibre or ADSL BB? If the latter then cold, do they even want the TV?

I managed to get my renewal deal last August for BT Infinity 2, BT TV with HD and line rental (I wish i didnt have to pay line rental as I dont use a house phone) for £48.99. Just go to cancellations and just haggle :)

Check the speed for your internet. Im on bt fibre, and get around 40mbps, checking with sky i can only get 20mbps max. Its a couple of pound more for bt, but i think it a much better internet speed.

Is this including by TV?
We have unlimited fibre evening and weekend calls (we don't use the phone thought) free by sport 1 (added to our sky) for £28pm.

That sounds a great deal. They're relatively happy with the broadband and TV was just an extra really. They don't have fibre in their area. I'll look to haggle a bit further and see what I can do.

recently done a deal for someone and got the following

line rental, infinity 1 and unlimited calls (not just weekend) for £42/m

Even if they said it was £20 a month i'd move from BT as they useless. But this deal is pretty rubbish anyway, the bt sport lite is next to pointless, the youview box is just a glorified Freeview box, no real decent channels.

I'd just join sky £42, new Sky Q box, Sky Fibre, Sky TV (e.g sky one, atlantic), £75 reward and go through quidco too for good measure. Much better package and will work out cheaper than deal quoted.

Just been on the phone to Sky and been offered unlimited broadband, payg calls and the basic Sky TV package with Sky Q for £34.99 per month. I can add Sky Sports for £48.49 per month.

Think I will go for this as it seems a good deal all round.
