Im currently with bt im moving at end of the week and looking at going with another internet provider, Ive spoken to bt and they say I will have to pay a fee of 120 to finish the contract. Seems like a rip of charging that much is there any way that can get out of paying that fee or getting it reduced?

the rules change very soon - the charge has been capped by Ofcom.

Worth hanging on couple of months.

You should have read the terms and conditions of your contract and not agreed to it if you didnt want to be held to it!

BT Retail gets charges from Openreach for supplying your services and the contract length determins how much they charge you for it so you cant expect to agree a contract and have BT just let you off with it when you feel like leaving!

Every other supplier is the same
