As there are so many deals around can anyone point me in the right direction to what i need to look out for when buying a laptop for internet use, pictures, and downloading music on?.Not much else. Not looking to go over the £400 mark though......or maybe just.

Hi Top Hat! I work in tech support and have recommended friends go for the Toshiba L40-17M Laptop available from the dsg group for £399.99, so that's gives you choice of currys, pc world or dixons. A bit of research regarding discount codes should get you around another £15 off when ordering for home delivery, and if you browse to your chosen site through you can get another 5% or so off.

Here is the laptops spec, its perfect for everything but playing the latest games, and more than capable at handling microsoft Vista and Toshiba are one of the best laptop manufacturers around:

Powerful Dual Core processor performance on the move.
Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor T2330
(1.6 GHz, 533 MHz FSB, 1 MB Cache)
Genuine Windows Vista (R) Home Premium
2 GB Memory
120 GB Hard drive
15.4" Widescreen Display
DVD ReWriter SuperMulti Drive
Wireless enabled
3 USB connections
Blue/black colour

You can check it out here:

Good luck!!
£350 when using code HPSPLDIS from the voucher section
add 1GB ram from play for £11.99 and you have the same spec as posted earlier but with a better processor
I am looking for similar, check out
Happy shopping.
