There are quite a few DVDs I'm wanting to buy (Supernatural 1/2, Ghost Whisperer 2 / Medium 1/2/3, Roseanne 4/5/6/7, Frasier 7/Final, etc.) and http://www.amazon.com have them for super-dooper prices. I don't want to order them for delivery here because of the possibility of import charges. If I split the order(s) to keep it under £18 each time, then I will have to pay a p&p charge from US to UK each time, which I want to avoid wherever possible...

I am going to be in San Francisco from December 24th til January 1st. Are the prices in the shops similar to the prices offered by http://www.amazon.com? Or should I maybe try and get a delivery to my hotel???

Anyone with any ideas?

Not sure if amazon.com will deliver to the uk?? I buy stuff from there are get someone to ship it to me - i pay import charges at 17.5% as it is for my business. If you are going over there i would try and get it delivered to hotel.

San francisco has very cheap dvds, wait and purchase them when you go there.

I am very jealous, love san francisco and especially the shops!

Near fishermans wharf , and about a 1 minute walk from Johnny rockets (yum yum lovely breakfasts there! you must go and eat there at least once, try a milkshake too!) there is a tourist type shop (cannot remember the name sorry!) you can't really miss it though, it has loads of stands outside the front with tshirts and personalised "fun" numberplates, anyway at the back of the shop when i went there i found shelves full of dvds at bargain prices (not rubbish dvds but new titles and decent older titles), but there is plenty of shops that do dvds, just look at the shop windows, most mention that they have dvds inside. Also i really recommend shopping at pier 39, no dvds from what i remember but beautiful clothes and some really unusual gift items at great prices.Oh and such lovely sweeties. Not sure if you have been there before, but i am sure Alcatraz is on everyones to do list that visit SF, they were filming when i went there and the atmosphere was amazing. Some great history and a great to visit. Oh and don't forget to go to the jellybelly factory! Oh i am so jealous.

Please tell me you have room in your suitcase for me? :giggle:
