Hi all. I'm looking at buying a UV code on ebay and was wandering if anybody has any experience.

I've never used a UV code before and this particular code, I want to download the content. Anybody know how to do that once I have the code?

Any advice/info would be great.

Thanks

There's lots of ways, you can download to PC/Tablets/Phones etc etc so it's too long to list here. But basically you create an account, activate the code within the account (so essentially register the content as yours) and then there's all the details there.

UV doesn't, unless it's changed recently, support iTunes etc so don't buy the code if you're thinking of only using it on your iDevice (others may come along with more helpful hints on how you may do it).

Also, just be aware that, technically, they can't sell you the UV code - it's considered 'unbundling' as the UV copy is licensed to the owner of the physical copy (DVD/Bluray whatever) for alternative use. It's not to say that it won't work, but there can be issues and the UV copy could (although highly unlikely) be rescinded.

Thank you! So I can download the content to my laptop and I can watch it whenever and wherever I want with no restrictions?

As long as your laptop is:
"Windows XP, Vista, or 7 (and has) The latest version of either of the following browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox or Google Chrome"

you should be ok.

It's Windows 8 so I guess that it'll be fine. Thank you!

We have problems with all of the Sony codes. Cant get them to play at all :-(
Customer service is useless too.

If you use Flixster you can download the movie onto your laptop / Android device (prob 4.0 onwards as a guess) so you can watch it offline. File sizes aren't huge - Iirc that's because Flixster downloads are only SD.

Why can I not download Sony codes on Flixter?

You can use Flixster on Apple devices as well to watch UV movies. I was watching the Lego movie last night on my iPad.
