Looking for advice on the above. I have been regularly buying games from XBOX.com Russia by purchasing a gift card for Rubles, adding this to my xbox account and making the purchase from the Russian store. However, today when trying to add the Rubles to my account I get an error saying "this code is for the RUB. It can be transferred to other people such as acquaintances, being in this part of the world".

Myself and 2 other people have tried this and get the same error. Anyone else noticed any changes to the process? Have MS changed this? Any advice would be great. Thanks

I tried without the VPN but it's always worked before. Have they made it so you need a VPN now?

Today, I bought on the PC 70 singaporean dollars of live credit at microsoft SG through paypal. On the PC I went to XBOX SG and ensured I had Singapore in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. Whenever I clicked on redeem live codes, it would take me to microsoft US and would not redeem my codes. Unless it's written in Malay, on this page on the bottom left there was no option for singapore. I even tried this via FLYVPN enabled. My region (via PC control panel) is also currently set at Singapore. I tried chrome, edge and firefox and none let me redeem

Worried I'd wasted £40, I switched Xbox on, changed region there to Singapore, logged in on Xbox, and was able to both redeem my 70 sg dollars and buy forza 3 and start the download.

When you say you changed the region on xbox, do you mean the language or the whole region setting? I was under the impression that you could only change the region on the console once every 3 months. Or has that been scrapped? Can you change region back again? Cheers.
