Looking for a deal for 2 adults, 1 under 4yr old, for Ninhams on IOW (for 4 nights say), but also 1 other stop over on route, to break up the journey as its too much driving from Sunderland to Portsmouth in one go.

We have a normal 6 man tent and 1 vehicle. Dont really need Electric Hook Up on route, but possibly at Ninhams, IOW.

Also good deals on Ferry as well

dont know if this is any good but we stopped at a place called Karma Farm in Radnage. It is near High Wycombe that is a campsite for the way down and it is basic but has a great view of the Chilterns?? i think.
On the IOW there are lots of sites, i would recommend Languard, it is not that far from Ninhams but i think it is cheaper and they have a nice field for tenting with electric. As for the ferry, if you book the pitch and ask them if they do ferry deals then it is usually cheaper to do it through the site, certainly it was for us at Languard

hi miffy! Do you mind if I ask if you have stayed at nodes point? We have just booked there as it was between there and landguard so went by reviews in the end. Just wondered as a personal recommendation would be great. What were the facilities/pitches like at languard - I understand you can use next door (lowerhyde?) as well. We used Tesco vouchers this time so all it has cost is the postage cost which I'm chuffed with!

Last year we went to Nodes point, they have a new toilet block which is excellent and it is a really great site as it is so close to the beach. We would have gone there this year but the price went up considerably. Nodes Point, Lower Hyde and Languard are owned by Park Resorts but they only took Languard on this year so the toilet blocks etc are not as good as the other two but we went for that one as it isnt so commercialised, so i guess it depends on what you want. We went on the basis that even if there isnt as much to do at Languard , there was always the choice of walking through to Lower Hyde to use their facilities but we never really needed to do that as there is enough to do there. The ferry cost for us was lower with booking through Park resorts so we went for that but i used my tesco voucchers for the places on the IOW instead of the ferry
Let me know if i can help you more

That's great - really helpful thanks. We're going at the end of August so just hope the weathers better than it was that time last year! Have a great holiday lol x
