Wouldnt it be better to buy 2x 2048MB ram?? as U will then still have some free slots if You get some more??

well there's no point paying Dell's £105 quid for the extra 2 GB RAM. Vista only recognises up to 3gb and you can buy the extra gig for about 20 quid on ebay :) Personally I'd ring them up and negiotiate a lower price. It's all about haggling!

I think your talking about xp - vista supports a lot more than that at least 16gb

No, Dell's machines run 32 bit Vista, which will recognise only 3gb, 64bt Vista recognises significantly more :)

Good point, also if its mainly for gaming you'd be better with a faster clocked, dual-core Core 2. The 768Mb GTX is probably overkill for the 22" monitor aswell, but I guess you can run all settings on max.

Have no ide about the computer spec but phone dell up ( make them call you back so you don't pay expensive phone charges) and haggle like firey-dragon says. I managed to save 20% on the cost of our PC. If the person you get on the phone doesn't want to haggle phone again until you get someone who will! Good luck
