Hi all,

I've been given this bike but can't find any info on it about whether it's a stock or custom build. I'm not very experienced at all with bikes really and don't often ride much, just tend to put them on a turbo trainer like I have this one. I've never seen this kind of frame before. I'm assuming it's a muddyfox because that's the name on the seat but I'm supposing that this could have just been replaced. Front suspension and 21 gears is probably all I can gauge by just looking at it.

Now to try to upload some pictures!

Edit: not sure how to get the pictures to display properly :/ so have put the tinypic urls, I hope that's ok.

from that one picture I can only guess it's a muddy Fox or some cheap make because of the very cheap suspension forks and the v breaks, and the frame looks heavy. all signs of a cheap Argos/Tesco/sports direct bike. £50-100. it's probley ok on the turbo trainer but it will wear out the cassette on the bike quite quick if your doing a lot of miles each session. hope this helps.

I'd agree with that.

op apart from shimano is there any brand names or model numbers on any of the components

Apart from those it shows "Tioga" and "Alchemy" near the handlebars. I can't find any other markings.

Thanks. It is just going to be on the turbo trainer and I generally only aim for about 2 hours per session every other day, no idea how far that is though.

Can I ask why does it matter? If you have it already what difference does it make which maker it is?

Purely curiosity.
