Just had my new car delivered and lo and behold I didn't reaise it doesn't come equippd with a CD player. I usually connect my iphone for my playlists and music but on occasion I get sent music via CD from DJs which I use to just listen to in the car but now i'd like to transfer them to a dedicated player.

Has anyone got any recommendations. Not looking for more than 16gb.

Cheers

If you have a usb imput why bother with a player, just put your stuff on that, if your car is new it should have either a sd card and/or usb imput.

I've looked in the past and never with much success.
best options I have seen are Sony ones and then just generic Android phones that aren't the latest models

I just use Amazon music in my car. I own and iPod but looked everywhere for a MP3 player with little success! sometimes just easier to connect your phone

I bought one of these for work, as we're not allowed to use phones... battery lasts forever, very decent for being so cheap and cheerful

Can't you just take the cds. Rip to mp3 then put on phone. Basically put the cds on iTunes and play over Bluetooth

Personally, the Sony Walkmans are the way to go.

I have a better solution for you

if you have an AUX (and you must do if you are looking for an MP3 player) plug it in and play directly via your iphone. this basically makes endless possibilities for music (spotify, apple music, youtube) ohh and it works as hands free as well :)

Same as above not had a cd player in my last three cars over 7 years. Just use a low height/small form usb stick with all my music on mp3 or stream Amazon Music/Deezer/Tunein Radio from my phone.

Thanks for all of the responses; I don't want to transfer the cds to my iphone as that's for my use only. The DJ stuff is just for listening to and reviewing so I need a dedicated player to burn them to. Can I assume then that if burnt to a USB flash drive that would just be a plug in and play ? Would it show each folder ? Could I shuffle ?

That depends on the car's software but if it's a brand new car then generally the answer is yes to all of the above, although how they handle folders may differ.

I had a 5 year old JVC stereo in my old car which had a USB input and it could handle folders with no problems so I would assume that any new car would be able to do this with no problem
