I have the Nutri ninja, excellent bit of kit, especially as I got it for £12 on Gumtree. It's 900w, compared to the 600w bullet.

Big plus you can chuck harder stuff in there like frozen fruit, ice cubes and nuts and it obliterates them being 600w power vs a normal blender around 300w. Different from a juicer in that everything stays in there. Does the job very well. Some prefer the other brands. If your very serious you could look at a blendtec which would eat this for breakfast... At a price.

I've got one, great wee machine. It's occasionally on offer somewhere. I got mine from Ryman's for £50 also seen it on offer at Ideal World. Not sure how the cheaper one's stack up against it but it's built like a tank should last a long time. :)

for fruit drinks u want the bits in it or not if u don't u r best off with a a juicer if u blending just soft fruits u could get away with a normal blender around 15/20 quid otherwise

Well my Mrs uses another one, couldn't get her to buy that because she said it wasn't a proper one. If you want a comment on if they work for weight loss - She replaces one evening meal each day Mon to Fri with a mix of fruit & veg and it works for her. But a walk around the block each day always helps too.

The one made by Salter is just as good (same power etc and came first in BBC test) and less than half the price too. from Robert Dyers.
