Can I get Sky Broadband without a Phone Line

I am aware that you can get Sky/Sky+/Sky+HD without having to take the Phone line & paying 25£ upfront.

Will appreciate if you have a past experience with Sky broadband.

Someone needs to pay Openreach around £8 per month for the cable from your home to the telephone exchange. They don't care whether you use it for telephone calls or ADSL, they just manage the wiring. So technically you don't actually need a telephone line as such, it's just the easiest way for them to make sure that you're getting the service from Openreach.

in a word no - sky BB comes down the phone line, only virgin and the cable companies dont use the phone line as the have thier own cables:thumbsup:

Sky TV is different a tech - satalite beamed to your house and received by a dish

no you cant I had the same problem I had to get an BT line installed depending on your area instalation can be free if not you will have to pay £130 which I had to pay complete rip off if you ask me, I would get Virgin if its in your area.

Thanks sarbjeet_, but even they dont give cheap broadband on its own. Do they?
