Sharp make the best LCD IMO within your budget range although I am using a panasonic plasma at moment and love it.

avoid samsung?!?! are you crazy?! I worked in currys for 18 months with my strong areas being tv's and computers. Samsung tv's are amazing! they are rated VERY high! The response time is good, the DVA is good, the pixel rate is good, i dont think i can honestly think of a fault with the samsung tv, especially for being SO easy to set up. Dont avoid samsung! go for either Samsung, Sony, Panasonic or a few Sharps or an LG at a push with depending on what LG tv it is. I have a sony 32W3000 in my room, NEVER had a problem with it, joys of having a Bravia. My parents have the samsung 42R38 (42R37 in some shops) in the front room, got it when it first came out when i was 16, im now almost 20 and NEVER had a problem with it either! they are VERY reliable!

Thanks everyone, but i need some links to televisions, you think I can bargain with curry's to get a better deal, because Richard sounds Wont go down thanks everyone again, very helpful,
by the way does 100hertz make a big difference to 600 hertz and 50 hertz because i think PS3 is 60 hertz or something like that ?

I was in Richer Sounds at the w/e and they said they're the only company to guarantee to match (or was it beat) any other stores price, including websites!
