I need a bed! My landlord has budgeted £300 and has asked me to find something!! Can anyone help? A double or a futon sofa bed would be fine.

£95 for the bed frame then you choose the mattress which is probably cheaper elsewhere, but £95 is about cheapest for metal frame doubles these days.

Much cheaper in ikea, if -
the OP has one local, or local enough for delivery AND
they buy the mattress from ikea as well.

if you want a good matress and want to spend the whole £300 then this one has loads of good reviews and apparently over £400 worth of matress for £204.99!

true. but ikea beds arent english sizes. unless you only want to shop at ikea then a replacement mattress will never fit properly. i have had an ikea bed before and was weird size. matress never filled the base so always moved and the original ikea matress was very uncomfortable even though wasnt the cheapy one. maybe im just fussy though.

Check out the Coop Bed shop: http://www.coopbedshop.co.uk/
When I was looking for a bed a few years ago, they offered the best value for money. All the beds are delivered free. I bought my bed from a Coop department store, but the website now offers better prices and free delivery. The delivery men who delivered my bed were really helpful. They even offered to attach my headboard, which I had purchased from another shop.

Someone has posted a £25 off voucher code for a £250 spend at the coop bed shop: http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/699999/25-off-250-spend-on-beds-voucher-co

This one looks good value :) A divan is always sturdier than a bed frame. You don't get a headboard with this, but you could add one later if you want one. You get storage though.
